FAQ's
The process is easy – first, sign up online! Once you’re all registered there, and have added your pooches, we need a copy of your vaccination records – you can email this to us, your vet can email the paperwork, or you can upload them to your Paw Partner profile. Once we have the needed vaccine records, you may request a service using your PawPartner portal or reach out to us, and we can help get you started!
For daycare, we do a Temperament Test before clearing the dogs for social playtime. Our temperament tests usually take 2 - 3 hours, and you’ll leave your pup in our care once we’ve gone over all your paperwork. We send pet parents a message after we've completed our evaluation, and we will talk you through how things went and our recommendations for playtime from that point forward.
Any kind of aggressive behavior is considered a fail, and we also may sometimes give recommendations for further training, or a slower start to daycare if your dog is anxious or nervous about the other dogs when they attend their evaluation.
We require all dogs to be up to date on Bordetella, Distemper, Lepto, and Rabies. If you aren’t sure what your paperwork is saying, please feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email, and we can help you out!
With Bordetella, we prefer you get it done at least a week before your dog’s temperament test, if possible.
Your puppy must be old enough to have had their third round of Distemper, and have received their rabies vaccination. Most vets do the rabies vaccination around 4 months or so – if you have any questions about when your puppy should get their shots, your vet will be happy to help!
Nope! We have no restrictions regarding intact dogs. We may, however, have to take turns between the unspayed and unneutered pups attending playtime, as we don’t have them play together, and if we have one of each in the same playroom, we want everyone to have a chance to play!
If your intact pooch starts showing any behavioral trouble, we’ll let you know and discuss options for further playtime. If the behavior continues and is disruptive to the playgroup, we may ask you to get your pet spayed or neutered, and then re-evaluate their behavior once they’re all healed up.
Doggie Daycare is basically the same as human daycare, just with dogs. Your pup will play with a bunch of friends and our Pet Care Technicians in one of our two play areas, and in our 4000 sq ft privacy fenced in backyard. Dogs are put in rooms based on size and play style, so if you have a smaller pup, no worries! They’ll be matched with dogs that are similar in size.
If your pup is a slow eater or gets lunch, we’re happy to give them a break during the day to give them an opportunity to eat. Please bring food for your dog in a reusable container, if possible – we’ll keep it in the back and send it home when it needs to be refilled.
We walk every dog in the building 5x a day in our fenced-in backyard. Dogs in kennels go first one by one, and then we take out the dogs in the daycare groups in the yard for some outside potty and play time.
In the summer we love to play outside! We usually host pool days once the weather starts getting warm as well, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for announcements.
Boarding should be booked at least a few days in advance, if possible – we understand that sometimes you need to call last minute, so no worries! If we have the space, we can definitely have your dog stay with us.
For holidays and school breaks (such as Spring Break), we prefer as much advance notice as possible so we can make sure we have space to keep your pup. We also require a $30 non-refundable deposit for any holidays or breaks. If your dog stays with us, we will take the deposit off of your total at the end of your stay – however, if you cancel or no-show, we do not refund the deposit.
Boarding dogs still have the opportunity to play if your pup passes their temperament test. We offer both Full and Half days of play with our Boarding services – a Full Day is an extra $19 per dog/day, and a Half Day is an extra $13 per dog/day. If they don’t play, they still get to go out in our backyard 5x a day to go potty and get some extra time with our Pet Care Technicians.
Breakfast is served between 6am and 7am, and dinner is served between 4pm and 5pm. Playing pups go out around 9 am and will play for either the full or half day of play their pet parent requested for them. If for some reason, we feel your dog isn’t having a good time, we may opt to let them have a day off, and you won’t be charged.
We also have a night shift that walks all the boarding pups one more time during the night and will make sure everyone is comfortable.
You can bring whatever you want! We highly recommend bringing your own food to make sure we don’t have any upset tummies, but we do have food in house we can feed for an extra charge if you don’t have a chance to pack any. We also can accept deliveries from Amazon or Chewy.com if you want to send more food for your dog. We have a full kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, and stove), so if your dog is on a special diet, we’re equipped for it! Please also let us know if your dog has any allergies.
We have a variety of towels, blankets, and raised beds that we can use for your pup, but most dogs are happier with items from home. We just ask that you not bring any towels or blankets that would be easily lost – please either label your items, or make sure it’s unique enough that we don’t get it mixed up with our own laundry! Beds are also highly recommended, though occasionally dogs may rip them up due to stress. We monitor all bedding, and will promptly pull any beds or blankets that are being chewed on.
Toys and treats are encouraged as well – anything to pamper your pet during their stay! We love to give dogs some familiarity to help ease any stress or anxiety they may feel.
Yes! Please bring any of your dog’s normal medication and we’ll give it to them, on their schedule, free of charge.
Grooming appointments are booked through our groomer, who usually will do calls at the end of her workday. However, if your dog is just getting a basic bath, we may be able to help you out sooner, so please let us know if that’s what you’re looking for, as opposed to a haircut. Sometimes, even with baths, we recommend our groomer work on your dog, so you may be told to wait for Sam to reach out.
We want to get your dog in for a spa day as soon as possible, and will do our best to call you back and get you scheduled quickly!
